In Miami, the only place I know is Miami Beach Bicycle Center, where you can order in an Electra Amsterdam. There is no place in town to test ride a Dutchie or Dutch-style, unfortunately. CB2 sells a Dutch-style Republic bike that looks really nice but I haven’t tested it.

I am also looking for a Dutch bike retailer in the Miami area… I am kicking myself for not buying while in the land of Euro-inspired cycles in Chicago. Anyone have any experience with Public bikes out of San Francisco? They make a nice Dutch-esque ride stateside, at a reasonable price. I am not all that jazzed about buying without a test-drive.

Here in Central Texas, today was below 90 degrees for the first time in 125 days. Just 88 today! So welcome to fall. We had a record 85 days of 100 degrees or more, and all sorts of daily records fell. Yes, it looks like tomorrow will be in the upper 90s but even a single break is encouraging!

Without solid proof, there’s nothing I can do. If we had proof, there would’ve been charges and eviction, though.

This is one of those times when I’m glad I can put my faith on a greater concept of Justice and know that, measure-for-measure, things will take care of themselves.

This is horrible. It probably would have been better if they stole it because, even if they resold it later on, it would have been put to better use, rather than damaging something for the sheer purpose of being destructive. Horrible, indeed.
