Miami's been improving its bike cred over the last year or two. There's still sooo much to be done, but it's moving along.

I'm amazed! I wouldn't have expected such a high count for Miami. It's inspiring. And yes, social justice is an important reason to support bicycling and other forms of 'alternative' transportation.

I've done some other counts on different routes and have come up with even bigger numbers. One day I need to go on a photo tour and show it. South Beach is quite probably THE best place for biking in all of Greater Miami.

As for the temp, maybe you'll feel better knowing I headed out of the apt this morning in 42-degree/felt-like-38 weather, something for which we simply are not built down here!

Wow, that's a lot, especially for the circumstances (although I would kill for a 50-degree day in Chi-town right about now).

Happy New Year!
